of Practice

was founded in 1989 by 15 of the most highly regarded and experienced
companies specialising in the casting, preparation, provision and
expert supervision of Animals for filming and photography.The major
aims of ACTA
are to promote and ensure the highest standards of safety and welfare
in the preparation and supervision of animals for filming and photography,
and its members subscribe to and actively promote the following
aims.
At all times to ensure correct planning and preparation for each
assignment, prior to any Animal being provided and expertly supervised
for filming and photography.
At all times to examine in detail the requirements of each assignment
and to advise prospective clients of the suitability and viability
of the assignment with respect to the capabilities and welfare of
the animal(s) envisaged.
At all times to ensure the highest quality Animal Husbandry when
providing and supervising Animals for filming and photography.
